Inactivating an OSCAR user profile

Question:  How do I inactivate a user on OSCAR?

To inactivate a provider account, you will need to do the following:

1) Go to Administration interface, select "User Management"

2) Go to, and click on "Search/Edit/Delete Provider Records"

3) Search for Provider Record by either Provider ID No. or Last Name (select radio button, will be Last Name by default)

4) Click the "ID" number to left of appropriate Provider account

5) Update the Provider record, go to "Status" field change it from active (1) to inactive (0) - Basically, replace the 1 with a 0 (zero )

6) Click on "Update Record" button at very bottom to save the changes. Important step

Here are some tips related to this from an online manual:
In some specific cases, you might also like to delete their login record if there's multiple Security Records. Before doing this, it is very important to make sure you only delete the correct/desired security record (Done via Admin | Search/Edit/Delete Security Records).

Also, Simply removing the billing numbers in the case of a care provider, will prevent that provider's name from appearing in the billing screen pop-down list.
