How to add information to the Unresolved Issues, and Resolved Issues located on the Right of the e-chart.

Question:  How do you add information to the Unresolved Issues, and Resolved Issues fields located on the Right of the e-chart. 

The issues boxes are not free text note fields as you expect them to be.

These are for tagging encounter notes with diagnostic issues that can be tracked from onset to resolution. For instance;  gestational diabetes is a track-able item.

To add an issue:

1) open a patient encounter
2) at the bottom of the encounter just under the buttons; type into the "Search Issue" field to search a diagnostic issue
3) select one of the search results
4) click "Assign"
5) refresh the encounter note
6) notice that the issue you assigned is now in the Unresolved Issues box

To tag additional notes with the same issue:

1) start a new note
2) at the bottom of the encounter click; "Display Unresolved Issues"
3) check the issues you wish to tag the note with
4) finish the note
5) sign and save

To display notes tagged by Unresolved Issues:

1) click on an issue item in the Unresolved Issues box
2) view all the filtered notes tagged by that item in the note scroll.

To resolve or edit an issue:

1) start a new note
2) at the bottom of the encounter click; "Display Unresolved Issues" or "Display Unresolved Issue"
3) edit issue
a) click "Change" to change the issue
b) or click "Delete" to delete the issue
c) or click on the issue to edit the meta data
d) checking on "Resolved" or "Unresolved" will toggle the issue between the Unresolved Issues and Resolved Issues boxes on the right.
